My family has had a relationship for several years with a ministry called I AM family in Uganda, Africa. I AM family is a ministry that was initiated by local Christian people in Uganda as a response to the overwhelming number of orphaned children and vulnerable women in Uganda whose lives had been devastated by Cholera outbreak and AIDS epidemic in 1999. I AM family provides holistic care for children and families, and their vision is to focus on nurturing honest God fearing leaders of tomorrow as well as providing the five basic needs of a child including food, shelter, clothing, education and parental love.
One of the ways that I AM family provides for the needs of the children is through a choir that travels the world raising awareness and seeking sponsorship for children at home in Uganda. My family has hosted chaperones and choir members in our home multiple times, and it has always been a joyful and wonderful experience for us to hear their stories and learn about their lives. We also sponsor a little boy through this program. We were so sad that the tour got cancelled this year due to COVID.
On Sunday July 19 at 10:15 am PST the I AM family choir will perform live on facebook and youtube all the way from Kampala, Uganda. You are invited to watch this amazing group of young people perform!
Please note that there will also be more information about the I AM family ministries, and opportunities to sponsor children.
I AM Family says, "This performance will come, live, direct from Kampala to you, wherever you are this Sunday, July 19 at 10:15 in the morning (Pacific Time). Our kids are so excited to perform for you!
