Sonoma County Kids have returned to school this week, but not in the way you might think. Learning is being done virtually for all Sonoma County students, until it is safe to return to campus. I imagine that most families with school age kids would agree that this is not an ideal situation, but Sonoma County kids are resilient and will be able to get through this challenge just like they have with other challenges.
This past Sunday in our Zoom Sunday school classes our kids learned the story of Esther and how God had a purpose and a plan for her. We talked about how God has a purpose and a plan for each one of us. I like to think about how God knew before we ever did that kids were going to be doing their schooling online for now, and God will give us the strength we need to get through it. Please continue to keep our First Kids in your prayers this school year as they navigate online learning.
Each year our church celebrates kids as they move up to a new grade level. Although this year we won’t be able to gather on the lawn to celebrate in person, we made this video to celebrate our First Kids as they move up to a new grade!
And don't forget we have Zoom Sunday school calls for all K-6th graders, please email me for the link and more information shawna@fpcsantarosa.org
